gibson dunn (sf) vs sullivan & cromwell (palo alto)

looking to do bay area litigation, any practice area, but I like appellate work, antitrust, gen commercial. trying to decide between these two. have heard sullcrom's terrible reputation in ny, but thinking the palo alto office is much more relaxed. thoughts?

AFAIK, S&C PA is much more transactional-focused. GDC SF is a major office with lots of lit, iirc. I'd do GDC in your shoes unless you really wanted to be in PA for some reason.

GDC and it isn't close. GDC has a large and diverse litigation practice in SF, with folks who are top notch in all of the areas you mention. If you decide down the line you want to be in PA you can always ask to move to the GDC office in PA.
