Bay Area: DPW vs STB vs Cooley vs Fenwick

Of these firms, which would you pick in the Bay Area? I know Cooley and Fenwick are considered major players in the region, but it seems like these days they might offer less job security than one of the V10 satellite offices like DPW and STB. I don't have a practice area preference, mainly just care about exit options and job security.

Insofar as you care about exits and job security, you care about practice area. Think a little harder about this.

In line with the above, you need to have some sense of what practice area you want to do to make an educated decision here. If you want to do EC/VC work or tech transactions, then you can't go to DPW/STB and should be parsing Cooley/Fenwick. If you want to be doing cap markets work, then all four are in play depending on whether you want to be bothered doing some EC/VC work on the side at Cooley/Fenwick. All of the above has pluses and minuses for in-house job searches.
