Transfer and OCI

An intern just got into a T3 from Georgetown and is currently doing screeners for OCI. They aren't sure if they want to take the T3 option yet (likely this will be the case, and not the topic) but they are wondering how/when to inform the firms they are getting call backs from if they decide to transfer. They are specifically worried because they want to work in DC, and Gtown seems to have a set amount of "seats" at different firms. Thoughts on how to handle this?

I would just update by email, attaching a new résumé. It shouldn't hurt, and if it somehow did hurt then playing games could be a problem. DC firms like HYS.

A particular reason to update ASAP would be so that you don't get assigned a bunch of GULC alumni for callback interviews who are all hyped up about helping a fellow Hoya

A friend of mine did this from GULC to HYS and had 8-10 callbacks, all DC. I don't recall him mentioning any issues with explaining why he'd left, though he'd also lived in DC before law school. This was 10ish years ago to the extent that changes things.
