How important are writing samples for 2Ls applying for transactional work?

Title. Mine is decent, but it's difficult to choose a ten-page excerpt from either of the briefs I've written. Just wondering whether this is a make or break so to speak.

Not important at all and I doubt your interviewers will even take the time to read it. They're more likely to only read your cover letter in addition to your resume so I'd spend time on that.
