Keep license active or not.

I will be moving out of State A where I am licensed and enroll in a llm program in State B where I hope pick up my practice after graduation. I do not see myself returning to State A for family reasons.
For job search and UBE transfer purposes (both states are UBE), is it better to keep the State A license active? I don't think I can get transferred to State B by the time my job search rolls around. I suppose I could say State B pending on my resume, though. The annual registration fee is looking meh, hence the ask. Thanks!

Keep it active. I made mine inactive and ended up
really regretting it later. You never know when you'll need it or want to waive in to a third state where, e.g., your years of continuous active status in State A matters. It's a question of risk, but in the end, the annual registration fee is small compared to missing out on a job opportunity, not being able to move when/where you want, or having to retake the bar.

Keep it active and if you’re somewhere you can get CLEs paid for I would bank those before you leave.
