Then I see a day in the life post showing the firm logo and first day schedule. I guess I assumed Covington DC was more buttoned up than it is? She even posted her full name.

But that's definitely out of character for most of our lawyers. We're a pretty introverted bunch.

When I posted she only had about 20k views but already a few people had responded to her comment saying the post was "within the firm's social media policy" that it still wasn't a good look. She said she's already done with 3L so maybe she got too comfortable after her first summer. Definitely was surprised to see this from this office!

like two ppl got in trouble for moonlighting not just posting their day or whatever. The main message so far has been you can’t get paid not “you can’t post at all.” Might be in the minority but if a summer or whoever isn’t doing something inappropriate I don’t think it’s necessary to try and shame them by posting them on here. I didn’t get to see the video before it was deleted but I don’t see how her posting the schedule warrants her link being posted on here.

I went to law school w her and she was kinda quiet and shit but didn't suck. The post in question was a getting ready for work video that ended with a pic of her "covington" screensaver but didn't include any commentary. Doesn't feel in the same vein as the people doing sponsored posts or publishing videos that attacked moonlighting policies

I've seen so many videos like this that I would have thought associates didn't think it was odd had it not been for this post! I agree it shows bad judgment to vlog in the office and it's incredibly obnoxious (and borderline rude) to film people without their permission. One of the tik toks I saw of someone's first day didn't include the firm's name but included clips from everything they did, the food they ate, etc. I'd definitely feel odd filming stuff like that in front of the other summers and associates but what do I know? Lol. I guess as long as they don't show their firm name/film other people without their consent/etc. it's fine.

Saw both posts and I’m glad to see Priscilla not taking any of this too seriously especially with all the racists stuff people were saying in her first thread. “Different intentions” — one just made shit up to support her take. She said people from the older generation were tearing down a fit check, instead of people (probably mostly in their late 20s) criticizing summers who film in the office and film other summers. The latter is clearly unprofessional, no one has a real problem with fit checks even if they roll their eyes at them. The above TikTok poster even posted her first day schedule and full names of staff.
