I'm a 3L now but went through the callback process with Latham during my 1L year. While discussing the recruitment timeline with the HR rep, they mentioned that they would be taking anywhere from 12-15 1L SAs across all offices total. Not sure if the same applies now, two years later, but I imagine they are staying close to that range.

When did you apply? I'm at Latham and have done several of these interviews already. I'm not sure whether we have made final selections but we are well through interviewing and I believe offers have been given out.
