Quinn Y/E Bonus

Anyone hear if they have paid year end bonuses? See nothing on ATL. Not sure want to lateral to V20 if they don't pay this year... esp considering all the "cost savings" they have incurred bc of permanent remote work...

My understanding is that it was the same as QE’s bonuses from the prior year (setting aside the special bonuses).

QE matched the Cravath scale bonuses for everyone hitting minimum hours (2100) with the usual above-market boost for people who hit specific high billing numbers (2400 hours, etc). Bonuses were paid in mid-December.

They've had this for forever. It shocks me that a firm can market itself as "laid back" while maintaining this nonsense.

Since when does QE market itself as laid back? They literally market themselves as the most feared law firm.

They definitely have in the past. I recall seeing a QE ad on Vault/Firsthand featuring a woman beach-side with her laptop and the quote "work anywhere you want" or something along those lines lol.

Yeah and the whole sandals thing... There's a difference between culture and professional reputation.

Working from vacation doesn't exactly scream work life balance.

What about "laid back" requires work life balance? That was sort of my point - crazy that they think of themselves as laid back but lack all of the important stuff you would want to go with that culture (i.e., lower hours).

Jumping on this Quinn thread to ask about Quinn 3L OCI. I am a 2L going to a different V20 next summer. I want to work at Quinn. Any details or information about this? Do you just email recruiters during 2L summer? And how does doing a summer associate position after your 3L year work -- aren't you studying for the bar during that time? Would applying for clerkships, if I manage to get one for the year after school, throw a wrench in this plan?

Quinn’s 3L OCI is to interview associates to start work in the fall. There is no summer associate program for them; they just start working as associates after taking the bar.

To apply you should email the recruiting manager for the office you’re interested or, if QE interviews on your campus, sign up for that.
