Random question out of curiosity. If you have a C+F issue but successfully get admission to the bar (let’s say NYS), is that usually good enough for biglaw firms? Or do biglaw firms scrutinize issues after the bar committee has gotten comfortable?

Why would the law firm even find out about it unless it was a criminal matter? Firms do background checks but they're not very in depth, so if you got through C&F I would think it would be fine. Caveat for something that could be embarrassing for the firm

Thanks, that makes sense. I was thinking specifically of getting fired from a job (not for embezzlement or sexual harassment, for example).

I have a C+F issue, but no one has ever asked about it.
