Background check 1 month after signing offer??

Accepted an offer 1 month ago. Completed various forms and the firm confirmed my background check was complete. Then now they came back and said third party vendor is still doing background check and they need additional info/forms from me. Is this weird? Should I be worried?
(I have no criminal record or anything like that ... so if I should be worried what could possibly be wrong???)

My bg checks have always gone exactly the same way because certain answers trigger asks from the vendor for certain additional forms that aren't common to everybody submitting. Typically I turned in my first round of forms, I was contacted again when they actually processed the check and asked to fill out applicant-specific forms, I explained to them why those forms didn't apply to me even though their automated systems said they did (e.g. lived in a foreign country that asked for my name in the local alphabet... but I don't have a legal name in the local alphabet, that sort of thing) and then it was completed with no issues. Just view it all as an exercise in patience. They're not looking for reasons to block you out. A lot of this stuff is just third-party vendor specific.

IIRC I actually started before I got the all clear from the background check with a "if it turns out you lied and are a criminal we'll frogmarch you out and pretend this never happened", lol. Anxiety inducing but didn't matter. Venders are slow sometimes.

Huge problem. You’re fucked. Definitely fired and getting sued for any checks you received.

If the form said to list 5, then only list 5. If it says to list all within the past 7 years, do that and add an addendum. Broadly speaking they are just trying to find the counties to plug you into the search database.

I think the main point of this troll isn’t to be mean but to tell you to chill, because they’re so obviously exaggerating. The above person is right, if they asked for 5 addresses you’re good, if they asked for all places you lived and it was 10, go back and fix it.
Keep in mind that an employment background check isn’t quite C&F. Sure, if they found something illegal or unethical that would be a problem, but they just want the info. If you flat out lied that’s bad, but if you just have to update a form bc you misunderstood what it meant, that’s fine.
