Since EIW kicks off today, wanted to get this thread going to keep the process transparent. Godspeed everyone.

Anyone else pissed off at CPC for explicitly saying that direct applications pre-OCI were a waste of time...What a joke. Pre-OCI action + larger class sizes have had serious effects on outcomes imo...

Yes. Nothing CPC says is reliable. Pretty much any information they put forward seems to be to cover their own ass.

Yes. They also gave terrible advice in preference counseling, suggesting "safety" firms that chose not to extend screeners for yield purposes. On top of that, they just sent me an interview feedback form this morning for a firm I never even had a screener with. They are a disaster.

Did they say that? I just followed advice from here and other forums saying you had to do pre-OCI as the cycle was moving faster each year.

Don't listen to that person. They lack empathy and have no idea what you're going through.

As someone that is in a similar boat, I'm sorry you are going through this. It sucks, and seeing all of your friends have success just makes you feel small and worthless. I promise you're not. You may just have a different path than them.

Put your head down and get to work on e-mailing every firm you can think of. It'll work out if you put the work in. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
