Now that he's leaving Kirkland, what's next? Any guesses? Who's gonna get to hire the biggest name in appellate litigation?

I find that a lot with big names. Sometimes they were never that great. Sometimes they were and now just phone it in sometimes. And rarely, they are great every time. I tend to find the big names in PI to be great every time because actual skill was necessary to make the money rather than being in the right place at the right time doing the right type of work.bigcityattorney wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 12:33 amAfter his SG service, I was waiting for my appellate oral argument and got to watch one of his. He read his notes for the whole argument. Very underwhelming. (Nevertheless, I'm sure he still billed at $2,500 per hour.)
He's more on his toes in front of SCOTUS. I listen to his arguments on Oyez sometimes to see his style, and its definitely excellent.bigcityattorney wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 12:33 amAfter his SG service, I was waiting for my appellate oral argument and got to watch one of his.
