I was also stealthed this year at a v20. C/o 2016. Not entirely surprised as my hours slowed down considerably before I was given the "talk" but I landed on my feet. Lateral market is still strong from my POV, so hopefully you can find a solid exit OP.

Was the talk really explicit like "Time to pack it up", or like a cagey "Not sure how much of a future you have here" with plausible deniability?

I got the cagey version in my last review, then the explicit "time to pack it up" a few months later. I was given a date by which to leave. I will say I wasn't surprised it happened, but was a bit surprised at the timing.
