Midlaw to Crim to ??

Is it possible to go from midlaw to crim (PD or Private Defense) back to midlaw or jump to biglaw doing white collar defense? Or once you make the jump are you stuck? Currently a junior in midlaw lit and thinking of jumping to crim, but afraid if I don't care for it i'll be stuck. Any insight would be helpful!

Just being out of law school for a while, I’ve seen some profiles where people have done this. And a few partners at my biglaw firm had ADA experience and were generally the go to trial lawyers for the firm.
Could be a decent move although I don’t know how much this applies to present times.
