I guess then I would focus my efforts on trying to establish connections here. I have seen a number of talented lawyers get stuck in counsel forever because they spent all their time helping with other people's cases and not enough time developing their own network. It's a tough balance to strike. Where your foreign clients are too can make a difference -- are we talking a big global market or something more regional? I’ve thought of targeting a couple that work internationally, but it’ll be a slow burn (if it comes off at all).
