Timing Question

Scenario - I have received an offer from:

Firm A - good offer, think it would be a nice place to work. Have a week to accept.

I have a final round interview with Firm B later in the week. Firm B is top choice due to better practice fit.

When is the right time/way to mention a competing offer in order to expedite the process at Firm B?

Ask Firm A if you can have an extra week to decide. After the final round interview at Firm B, at the end of the interview when it's your turn to ask questions, mention that you have another deadline from another firm on [X] date, but that Firm B is your first choice and ask when you will find out. Perhaps then Firm B will give you an answer before you have to decide on Firm A.

When you interview. They can’t really expedite anything until then.
