It’s insane that their partners thought this was a good business decision. They may have a saved a few thousand bucks, and in exchange they’re going to be roasted on TLS and probably ATL — and thousands of associates will see it.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:59 amO'Melveny NY is catering lunch to the office for summer associates, and charging regular associates and counsel $10 per lunch if they choose to join the summers.

When STB went remote, they had previously let dinner be charged to the firm ($30ish) in or out of the office. The policy changed to only partners could get meals ordered home. STB then made associates eat any charges incurred since remote work started. All without announcing, we found out when our receipts were rejected. Thanks STB!

How did they reject a receipt that had been reimbursed two years ago?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 10:58 pmWhen STB went remote, they had previously let dinner be charged to the firm ($30ish) in or out of the office. What's wrong with this? You have little loyalty towards the firm.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 10:58 pmWhen STB went remote, they had previously let dinner be charged to the firm ($30ish) in or out of the office. Davis Polk, New York has $25 limit and you have to be in the office to order for dinner. People have basically given up and accept that we go over and then just ask for $25 to be transferred into our account.

We were instructed to use a teabag, then put in special cup to be used again.

Boss said if letter arrives with uncancelled stamp, gently remove and save.
And special stamps used by non-profit corps, gently remove and save.
