Can someone at Kirkland in SLC give some insight on what the work flow and culture is like in that office for corporate?
I have heard one associate say they were on track to annualize for 3000 hours then I heard from two other associates that they work LESS than when they were at small local firms that they lateraled from. Some say Travis is taking it easy on the associates there to avoid the Kirkland sweatshop reputation because it would be shortsighted for recruiting in a small market like Utah, but others in the firm say it’s because outside offices don’t think the associates are up to snuff (whether this has any basis in reality or not). Would be down to PM. I have seriously considered a lateral move but have no idea what the real story is there.
Im NOT interested in other Kirkland office culture, just the Utah one.

The part about an associate annualizing over 3,000 hours, if a corporate associate, is categorically false (or else stated in bad faith/based on a vanishingly small sample size).

OP here. That 3000 hour rate was an annualized pace he provided me based on a few months, which I think was about 4-5 months.
Also wife knows his wife and she confirmed he had a nasty few months.

Kirkland's Salt Lake office opened just last year. Not sure that you're going to find meaningful or decisive information about its culture based on individuals that have been working at a branch that has been open for a few months. Work flow changes. Of course it's going to initially be busy. There is a reason why Kirkland decided to invest in opening a Salt Lake office. That doesn't mean that you can reliably deduce what the annual rate is going to be.
If you're considering lateraling and you have concerns regarding pace, culture, and work flow. I would wait it out to see what things are looking like in the last half of the year.

Tried to PM but it won’t let me since I’m too new of a user on TLS. Can you message me by chance?
