Can anyone speak to litigation culture at Willkie? I know it’s a no hours firm, but what’s typical/expected? How are the partners? Considering as a lateral, not new grad. Thank you

This will vary somewhat on the office, but assuming New York, it's a pretty busy department, but the expectations are manageable. If you are at 45-55 hours / week, you'll be considered busy and not available for new matters. Even at 35-45 hours / week, you'll be considered "at capacity" and would probably only get staffed on new matters if the department is slammed or if you're specifically requested. Obviously if one of your matters is super busy, you'll be billing more than that, but the expectation is that people get to sleep at night. It's not a culture where make-work is encouraged or even tolerated. But especially of the new offices, the culture may be different so you should ask to speak with someone of your seniority that works in whatever office you're looking into.
