For past test takers who passed the CA bar, would you recommend Barbri or Themis? Pros and cons?

People pass and fail the first time with both programs, what matters is the work you put in (and how good you are at learning/regurgitating/memorizing).
I personally took Themis because it was cheaper than Barbri (my firm provided a stipend rather than reimbursement) and because they break the subjects up into shorter (10-20 minute) videos which helped with my short attention span. The bank of practice questions is good and I generally liked their explanations and model answers. I was not a fan of their essay graders and know others felt the same way.
At the time, Themis came with a free UWorld subscription which was helpful for drilling MBE questions. I have no experience with Barbri but the increased price tag would not have been worth it for me. Themis had everything I needed and I passed.

Did Themis and passed CA bar. Exercises were good. The essay graders really hammer you... but no need to stress in general as long as you master the concepts.
