if you're at a firm, then clerk, then go back to the same firm, does the firm typically pay for moving expenses when you go from clerkship->firm?

thanks

Some firms do have restrictions based on geography. I had a friend who lived further away during the clerkship (government salary, after all) and then moved closer into the city when starting at the firm. The firm refused to pay for moving expenses because both locations were technically "New York City." A shitty move, imo, but not a huge surprise as the firm (a lit boutique with some recent bad press) is known to be kind of stingy.
