Does anyone have intel on the new Debevoise office in Hudson Yards?

1. When is the move in date?
2. Will it have a cafeteria for breakfast/lunch?
3. Will it have a gym or other amenities?
4. Any idea of how much the gym subsidy is? (There's an Equinox near the building)

1. They've said current 2Ls will start full-time in the office, so that means before Fall 2023.
2. Not sure, but like, probably?
3. I don't think so, because of the Equinox in Hudson Yards that I think the firm subsidizes or something. There will be coffee shops and stuff as well as a fancy lounge on the top floor tho.

Debevoise pays for half of your Equinox membership. (Equinox charges your CC, the firm pays you half via payroll.)

The info sheet that Debevoise sent out to offerees this OCI said the firm anticipates moving in "late 2022." Some other notes from it:

• Four main social spaces, including:
  
  • two barista coffee bars, including a 25-foot, double-height space overlooking the Hudson River
  • grab-and-go extended-hours cafe
  • juice bar

• On-site wellness center with medical staff and physical therapy

• A bicycle room complete with private showers and changing rooms

No cubicles I believe, but the offices are all glass

So, does this mean Debevoise won’t have its own firm-only cafeteria with subsidized meals? It doesn’t seem like this high-end rooftop cafe in the building is geared towards (or would be priced for) everyday breakfast and lunch, right?

Any updates on the new office plans?

What is the current compliance with RTO at Debevoise NYC like? How aggressively are they trying to get people back in?

Current Deb associate. No change in RTO/remote work policies have been announced. The firm is currently asking associates to come in 3 days a week, though there is no enforcement and it seems like most people are doing around 2 days. There could be a renewed push once we move since theyll want to encourage people coming to the new space, but Im guessing that will probably look like more enforcement of the current policy rather than demanding more days per week (unless the whole market shifts towards full time RTO).

The firm WILL have its own private cafeteria in addition to the cafe. No gym, but as others said there is an Equinox close by and the firm subsidizes membership (I think it also subsidizes other gyms at 50% too).

Everyone will be in offices (no cubicles), but the offices are glass facing and Ive heard they are smaller than our current offices.

Will the new cafeteria for the firm be subsidized or wholly free or neither?
