Investment Funds/Fund Formation Outlook

Seeing as to how the previous post got some really nice traction and was quite insightful, thought I'd follow up with a funds-focused thread (copying the format with credit given to the other anon):
What’s the outlook for funds as a practice group?
- Exits (The few exits I've seen from my firm have been in-house to PE clients as counsel in some capacity, would like to hear about other exits people have seen/heard of). Exits seem slightly broader and in higher supply than debt.
- Hours (seems like a steady, project management-heavy group with longer time horizons, leading to more predictable workflow. Can still be slammed, just constantly slammed vs. suddenly hit by a truck in M&A)
I know this can also be firm/market dependent but assume a top tier funds group.
For VC funds work, are there similar exits to VC firms?
