Public Defender - Starting Salaries in All 50 States

Josh from Biglaw Investor here. For years I’ve maintained the authoritative list on Biglaw associate salaries but we’ve decided to expand our research into other legal jobs.
A few months ago we posted on TLS about District Attorney Salaries and now we recently completed our survey of starting Public Defender Salaries. It took us a couple months to gather the information as we had to call, email and go above and beyond and issue FOIA requests to get access to a number of these.
So, those interested in criminal defense – you can now compare the starting salaries for public defender offices in the 50 largest cities in the US and at least one city in every state.
