In fairness, when I was like a second year I remember mocking some aspect of Grisham's description of litigation, and a guy was like "Ya, it's a book for entertainment. The purpose is to develop characters and a plot, not provide a detailed and accurate description of the rules of evidence and civil procedure." A few years later I picked up a Grisham book from an airport book store during a business trip because my flight home was delayed, and every other book in the store looked terrible.
