Are there any firms whose partners are known to pull down more than their peers?

Are you asking what these partners make or what they're worth? Because the latter strikes me as a more interesting question and one not necessarily easily Googled.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 1:26 pmAre there any firms whose partners are known to pull down more than their peers?

Whoops. Answered a different question.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 1:54 pmThe richest lawyers are the elite plaintiff litigators who get a cut of massive class action settlements or the top few rainmakers at the biggest NY firms.
Imagine reading John Grisham.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 2:17 pmBendini, Lambert & Locke — a prestigious firm in a LCOL area.
One day you'll be super fucking burnt out with your job, and you'll wonder what it would be like to think of law as interesting again. On that day, you should set aside your superior knowledge on the ins-and-outs of purchase agreements, pour yourself a nice chianti, and pick up an old John Grisham novel with an open mind.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 2:27 pmImagine reading John Grisham.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 2:17 pmBendini, Lambert & Locke — a prestigious firm in a LCOL area.
This made me chuckle. In fairness, the "imagine reading ..." anon does sound like a Big Law associate who just got asked to make sure all the signature pages for the "big deal" are in order again.12YrsAnAssociate wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 4:08 pmOne day you'll be super fucking burnt out with your job, and you'll wonder what it would be like to think of law as interesting again. In fairness, when I was like a second year I remember mocking some aspect of Grisham's description of litigation, and a guy was like "Ya, it's a book for entertainment. The purpose is to develop characters and a plot, not provide a detailed and accurate description of the rules of evidence and civil procedure." A few years later I picked up a Grisham book from an airport book store during a business trip because my flight home was delayed, and every other book in the store looked terrible. I ordered some wine (maybe chianti?), cracked open the book, and read it cover to cover before I got home that night.Joachim2017 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 4:34 pmThis made me chuckle.
