Top Law Schools

I'm a 3L with a biglaw job lined up, and I'm considering just taking the bar in February. This is allowed in NY I guess. While this would make some of 3L suck, it would give me a 4-5 month summer break when I could travel the world, which sounds *amazing*. Anyone do this or know someone who has done it?

Planning on doing this myself. Trying to get my firm to let me start early.

I graduated 3L year early and did this. Recommend doing it (and also gives you a second chance at taking the exam in case it doesn't go well the first time).

I did, but as part of a program where you don't do coursework second semester 3L year so I could study full time. I think it would be very difficult to do it while taking classes, unless you basically stopped attending class/doing the work, which would just be stressful to me. I don't see a huge upside to taking the bar early if you are doing it on top of a regular 3L load and have a job lined up.

This actually seems like a pretty good idea. Acknowledging that most 3Ls aren't, but if you're a disciplined/focused studier and you start relatively early, it probably doesn't even need to cut into your free time all that much.
