Looking to do ECVC work and especially interested in more Series A early seed work. Seems that Fenwick and Gunderson focus more early in the life cycle than Cooley but just wanted some insight?

You can't go wrong with any of these, but I'd just caution you that early Series Seed/A work isn't as compelling as you'd think. It's extremely cookie cutter, with you often looking to churn out the relevant docs as quickly as possible with low legal bills (which is easy enough).

You'll get the best (and most rewarding) experience from doing several rounds with the same company and advising them as they scale. None of these firms want their associates to specialize only in Series A rounds, they want people they can dedicate to a client at the Series A stage and then assist that client throughout its life cycle.

OP Sorry i didn’t specify. I meant more along the lines of what you were saying of following the same companies through multiple rounds. I just wanted to go to the firm that handled the most companies at their early stages since it seems that Cooley clients are more household names/already established.

You have the three best offers for what you want to do. You can't go wrong with any of them. There's also probably not a ton to differentiate them, either. Of the three, Gunderson maybe leans towards the earliest stage, but I think you would do plenty of incorporations/formations/angel financings at any.

Agreed w/above. Very small factor but also keep in mind the office locations e.g. Fenwick MV is by the train, Cooley PA is not.
