Kirkland NY vs Milbank NY

Title says it all. I'm generally interested in transactional/corporate practice, although I think I'm strongly leaning towards either capital markets (equity, issuer-side) or M&A.
Liked all the people I met at both firms, although for some reason the personalities at Kirkland stood out to me more (in a positive way). I think that overall, Kirkland probably has the stronger practices (unless we were discussing project finance), but what's keeping me away from Kirkland is the general reputation the firm has for insane billables and cutthroat behavior. I'm not too sure what Milbank's rep is, so that'd be much appreciated.

Bump. Want to make a decision today. Leaning K&E; would be interested in hearing extra considerations.

Kirkland has way stronger CapM and M&A practices than Milbank. If that’s what you want to do then you should go to Kirkland

Fair enough. Is there anything to be said about the cultural distinctions between the two, or does that tend to be overstated? I've heard Milbank is on the more "humane" end of biglaw.

They’re both biglaw. People on here act like Kirkland is a soul-sucking experience, but I know people who love it there.
