FPD background check - how long?

Have an interview for an Assistant Federal Public Defender position. I believe the FBI conducts the background/fingerprint check for AFPDs, like they do for AUSAs/DOJ. Does anyone have experience in that area and mind sharing how long it took from submission of the paperwork to the clearance coming through? Thank you.

I'm sorry to not be able to answer this question but if you don't mind, what was your path to this interview? Did you do state PD? private practice?
