Just wanted some insights. Spouse is originally from Austin area. I’m from Dallas and my parents are looking to relocate to the Cedar Park/Round Rock area. Currently at a Dallas biglaw. I know along with Reid Collins they’re considered a top option in Austin but Reid Collins seems to be mostly centered on financial/restructuring litigation rather than a commercial presence (correct me if I’m wrong).

I can tell you that simply by reputation, Reid Collins is considered a top-tier plaintiff’s shop nationally in the commercial litigation space. It’s growth trajectory is very impressive. It takes a significant number of cases on contingency or blended billing models. Seems like it would be a good place to work for those reasons, I’ve heard it compared to Susman in its early days, but I have no idea about the culture.
Scott Douglas is a much more local shop, with a more traditional bill-by-the-hour type practice.
Also curious to bump this post and see if anyone knows about Reid Collins’s compensation model for associates?
