Do State AG Offices Care About Federal Clerkships?

Title is basically the question. I’m a current federal district clerk looking into post-clerkship options. Would the fact that I’ve clerked at the federal level factor in at all into a hiring decision with an AG’s office? Or would they not care because it’s a different system?

Do any employers think Yale has the best contracts courses and therefore their students will make the best summer associates? Employers like elite law grads because it was a marker someone thought you were smart, the actual experience there is entirely irrelevant. Same with fed clerkships, there may be a marginal preference for clerks who worked for the judges youd be in front of, but it’s mostly impressive you got a job lots and lots of people want
