S&C Transactional

Have an offer at S&C and a number of peer firms. Really happy to have these options but trying to differentiate between them a bit more. I'm not sure if i'll like NYC longterm, and might want make a lateral move back to a home secondary market in a few years. Is S&C's focus on financial clients a negative for someone not necessarily in NYC for the long haul? I love the generalist thing but wonder if more f500 work at a peer M&A shop might be better prep / provide better non NYC lateral options.

They don’t just do financial services m&a. S&C is probably the best firm out there for public m&a as well (besides Wachtell obviously).

Thanks. Then, next question. Might the generalist thing be a negative if I know I’ll likely be lateralling to a non-generalist firm (most firms) after 3-4 years?

IMO S&C is the play w/ those options.
