How is Latham’s EC practice in NYC? I’m interested in this practice area and not sure if they are a viable player in the city compared to the likes of Gunderson, Cooley, Goodwin, etc. Goal is to eventually move in house with a startup/tech company. Would Latham put me at a disadvantage compared to the more EC-focused firms in NYC?

Frankly, yes. Not in the same ballpark as Wsgr/fenwick/cooley/gunderson but certainly respectable and it’s all biglaw at the end of the day. I’d only pick Latham over the EC-centric firms if you want the benefit of having more access to other practices and industries.
