10-25%/Secondary Journal/1 year of WE
9 interviews

Anyone know the chances of getting a few more after opt-in?

I'd say you're very likely to pick up at least one if not more through opt-in. Given your stats and the few number of screeners you have, I would also suggest reaching out to recruiters personally with your resume (unless you already have an offer and are only doing 9 because they're better than whatever firm you have an offer from).

A little lower than top 33%, secondary journal, 1 offer, 7 screeners. Hoping to opt in to another one. Does anyone know how I should reach out to attys I networked with before EIW? Can I straight up just ask for an interview?

Reach out to them and ask if they'll forward your resume to recruiting. Some may say no, most will say yes.

Just opted in to an interview - does anyone know if that means that you have a good shot for a callback, even if you were an alternate?

I think it depends on the firm. If it's clifford chance or schulte, probably. If it's debevoise or cravath then very unlikely.

The school maintains data on all of this. You can see your chances of getting a callback —> offer at any firm based on how you got the interview. They compare people who were chosen by the firm vs. people who chose the firm vs. people who opted-in vs. people just walked up to the table and dropped a resume. The website is trash, but if you're patient and you dig through the numbers a bit, you can see what the odds are from each firm and compare that against your GPA to get a pretty decent idea of where your efforts are best spent now that the interview schedules are already out.

In short, though, if you don't have a pre-OCI offer and you have <10 interviews, you need to be papering the entire city with resumes and cover letters to try to get in the door. The school is not going to help you unless they already have.

That seems low compared to similar stats in previous years. Are there fewer screeners overall this year?

What are your stats, if you don’t mind me asking? Interviewer initials?

That's crazy. A lot of firms need more people (especially in corporate). I guess pre-OCI was bigger this year. Good luck to everybody then! Really got to do well in those screeners.
