Radio Silence as Incoming Associate

Coming off a clerkship, I have an offer to start at a V20 in about six weeks. I accepted the offer a few months ago. The non-lawyer in-house folks have been slow to answer emails and, in one case, have simply not responded. I haven't received any swag from the firm or other on-boarding paperwork/background check information/etc. I also have not received a conflicts clearance yet despite providing my information immediately after accepting the offer (as requested). At this point, surely it's too late for them to be pulling the plug on me. Right? Can anyone provide context or similar stories? Trying not to read too much about the firm into this, but the lack of communication doesn't set a great tone.

To me, I wouldn't expect anything until 3-4 weeks before your start date. My experience may be different but just one data point.

I wouldn't worry about it until you get closer to your start date. But if you're really concerned, send a brief email to a partner saying you just want to make sure you're on track to start on XX date and you haven't heard back from HR/conflicts, etc.
