Seattle BL Lateraling/3L Recruitment

Hello y'all -

I am currently a rising 3L completing a V50 Summer Associateship in NYC. I am incredibly thankful for my current SA and I certainly am interested in working there after law school. However, I am from Seattle and eventually want to lateral home. I know the market is really ties sensitive, will it be incredibly difficult? I am hopefully going into either corporate or real estate and I really do not know how well this would translate in Seattle.

Goal firms would be DWT, Perkins Coie, or K&L Gates.

On the other hand - should I participate in 3L big law recruiting? from my understanding it is very limited and I do not want to jeopardize my current offer for the off-chance I get a Seattle job. For context, I am about median(ish) at a lower T-13. I OCI'd for two Seattle firms but did not get a callback at either (sad day).

Any advice or information on the market would be great :)

I'm trying to respond with as little information as possible to avoid outing myself while also trying to be helpful.

I was in similar shoes fairly recently. While happy with the 2L SA job I had, I was interested in a Seattle return. I put out feelers at many firms and got varying responses. Some did not respond at all, a few told me to reach out after I graduated, a few told me to reach out once I was back in Seattle, and one offered me a screener interview, but by that time I had decided against moving back so I didn't do the screener. I'm not sure that doing 3L OCI could really jeopardize your current offer (presumably they don't have a Seattle office so I'm not sure how they would know) but maybe someone who has been through that process can speak to any issues that could arise.
