Screener at Kirkland on Monday—no word since, but I sent an updated resume after journal and moot court news came out. The person who interviewed me responded today saying thank you for the update, but nothing about a call back. During my interview, she said I would likely hear back on Thursday or today. Am I out? Stressed af rn lol

Nah man everyone is busy. Wouldn’t worry about it unless you don’t hear Monday-Wednesday.

This makes me feel better. Plus, if I got dinged I feel like she would’ve said so when I sent my resume again instead of accepting it. I’ve racked up a nice pile of rejections this week so morale is low rn 😂

Yeah don’t worry. Out of curiosity, did you submit materials recently? I submitted to Kirkland late (like this week) and I’m hoping to hear soon.

I submitted the last week of June through an alum connect. I also go to a T100 in NY— so if I can get a screener, you can too. Best of luck and let’s get this money.

Has anyone been accepted via the CIP program yet?
can't be many. HR said they were reducing DC's class size to 15 this year
Cleary NY has a shockingly small small as well but since some have been dinged, you'd think some woulda gotten the offer too. Especially with today being the deadline
Didn’t get a CIP NY ding today. So maybe a call in the am? Was told by recruiting decisions may come tomorrow
Got a DC offer this week

How do you even go about securing early interviews? How do you know who's doing them?
^^someone please explain I am equally lost...do we just apply through the firm websites?
Networking is your best friend here. Cold email people with your alma mater/law school and make connections. Do an informational interview over phone/zoom. If it goes well, email and ask them to pass your information to recruiting. It looks much better coming from them than a direct application and you're more likely to secure an interview. Worked for me, hopefully it works for you. Good luck!

How school/grade restrictive is pre-OCI in people's experience? Is this like exclusively the province of high-end HYSCCN students.

Been sending shit out and have the time to do so but want to gauge expectations
Not anywhere near this restrictive. I know plenty of people at my lower T14 at around 3.3-3.5 who snagged plenty of pre-OCI offers (primarily NY). Pre-OCI in DC seems a lot more grades sensitive
Definitely not that restrictive. Got a pre-OCI NY offer at a T14 with even lower GPA than mentioned above

Appropriate to follow up two weeks post-screener? The partner said he was going to recommend bringing me back for the next round but radio silence since then.
