Re: CCBA July 2021
Did CCBA last year/this year (Jan 2021) and just expect to not know much until right before. From what I heard from upperclassmen it's like this every year, that being said don't let it frustrate you because you can be very successful with CCBA. I will say a lot of firms (at least ones I was interested in) said during networking events/receptions this past recruiting season that they use the CCBA to try and target applicants at schools they don't normally recruit at. I had one firm email me after lists went out and said I had an interview at my school's OCI guaranteed if I bid them, and I eventually got an offer from them (but went with the firm I got an offer from through CCBA)

Re: CCBA July 2021
do you mind sharing your approx school rank/class rank? I've heard mostly horror stories about CCBA being useless and firms participating in the fair with no intention of actually giving any offersAnonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:22 amDid CCBA last year/this year (Jan 2021) and just expect to not know much until right before. Re: CCBA July 2021
I go to a T25, not ranked. I'd say for most of my classmates that participated in the fair (that I know of), we all did pretty well. I'd say 60% of us received multiple offers through the fair. I'd only heard good things from upperclassmen as well, so maybe our school just does well at the fair? I have a friend at a school a little better than mine who I know networked really hard with his target firms before the CCBA and then was able to pretty much ride that wave throughout his screener and callback and received an offer and he definitely would not have gotten an offer otherwiseAnonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 9:59 amdo you mind sharing your approx school rank/class rank? They released the initial schedule a couple of days ago. Bid about 30 firms, got 3 initial screeners, bidding on the next round for more firms. I'm at a T14, for reference

Re: CCBA July 2021
also bid on close to 30 firmsAnonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 10:34 pmThey released the initial schedule a couple of days ago. Bid about 30 firms, got 3 initial screeners, bidding on the next round for more firms. I'm at a T14, for reference
in the top 30/35% of my class at M/V/P and got 8 screeners but probably won't take all of them
...still kinda disappointed with which firms I got...none of my top 5 with the majority of them in like the 15-25 range of my bids...
do we know how much of the screeners were pre-select vs lottery? were any of them lottery?

Re: CCBA July 2021
Prior response here. I'm below median at lower T-14, bid exclusively for Chi and CA. I haven't been able to find info on how these were assigned, but it seems they're pre-selected per what a classmate asked.
