Top Law Schools

I know this is fairly firm-specific, but I'm wondering how soon you can transfer offices within a firm after lateraling. I have an interview with a firm I'm interested in, but the office is not in the geographical location I'd like to be in (the firm has an office in the location I'd like to be, but doesn't have any openings)

I did it as a first year at my V10. They were pretty relaxed about it. This was pre covid so I don't know how WFH would factor into it.
