Big4 Interview Timeline

Hi! I recently had an interview with KPMG NYC but haven't heard back after 2 weeks. I followed up and got a response that they were still discussing internally. I am curious if this is the case for big 4 as the decision is usually made relatively quickly after the interview. Would really appreciate if you provide your interview timeline and thoughts.

I interviewed with KPMG in a different market this spring. They contacted me two days after the first interview to schedule a second set of interviews, then got an offer about a week after the second set of interviews.

Really hard to say what the timing means. I looked around online and saw pretty widely varying timelines, so YMMV

Did you ever hear back from KPMG? Did you get the position?

This Big 4 has a screaming need for tax associates nationwide. If you do not hear back quickly, do not lose hope as the top prospects accept offers from other Big 4s or from law firms; Big 4s are not afraid about making offers even to those who they recently rejected.

Expect crappy pay & training that consists of being told to "figure it out". If you have a significant amount of student loan debt that you intend to repay in full, look elsewhere.
