The survey is due end of April?

Vault releases:
~ 2018: June 20th
~ 2019: June 19th (Juneteenth)
~ 2020: September 9th (late bc pandemic)
~ 2021: ???

Nixon Peabody cancelled its 2020 summer class without job offers.
I hope people remembered stuff like this (when filling out the survey). I did.

Yea definitely, firms that do this as soon as the times get tough are the firms any student will want to avoid if at all possible.

Nixon Peabody cancelling its class without offers (only a $5,000 stipend), whereas other firms that completely cancelled the program (like Cahill Gordon and Squire Patton) at least pledged permanent jobs.

Yeah I hope firms like DPW get some credit for their attempt to pay special bonus. I wouldn't mind extra money at any given time and thats what prestigious firms do in my mind.

Any update on these?

I can't imagine that COVID this time around would lead to a delayed release. Unless we hear anything to the contrary, I'd be surprised if they weren't released this week or next. I also would not be surprised if they just wanted to wait until after Juneteenth to avoid conflicting too much with the holiday.

This is all conjecture though.

This is an insanely awful thing to do and I’m shocked people haven’t shamed them more for it.

Based on the fact that it was released on Wednesday in 2018 & 2019, I’d guess Wednesday this week.

All of the SV firms are likely to jump, especially Fenwick.

Kirkland will jump Latham for V5. Cooley will probably be V20. Goodwin will be between 20-25. Jones day will finally fall out of the V20 mostly because of a lot of negative press. Probably wrong about JD, though, since it is still the best option in many cities.

I'm curious what the record is for how big a jump (or in this case a fall) a firm has ever taken. I think BSF is currently #29. In 2015, it was #13 (quick Google search). How low can it go, and what's the record for a single year-over-year fall?

Maybe but I don't think they have the global footprint required to move substantially in these types of rankings.

Reached out to Vault, they will be coming in mid July.

Milbank to v20.

They said it would come out mid-July, so probably this week?

Tomorrow maybe? Idk not sure what their strategy is here.
