My firm is June payment so I may just give notice before to move in-house. Asking for a 2 month delay for the start date sounds like it may cause a rescinded offer.

if you will be at the firm when the bonuses are paid out, i dont see how giving notice would make a difference. wouldn't sweat small stuff like this

Sucks, but so it goes. Gotta take the in house job if it's one you want. There will always be some sort of biglaw comp around the corner...that's how biglaw gets ya.

Is Biglaw that abusive love interest you know it isn't healthy to see but you keep coming back to?

100%. Everything about the relationship is awful but the
sex money is so good.

High chance they will say you're not in good standing and not pay it.
