Too Late To Go Back?

2L who accepted a summer position with a firm. Strongly regret my decision for non-trivial reasons, and would much prefer to summer at a different firm that extended me an offer and that I did not accept.
Is there any realistic way for me to summer at this other firm, or do I need to wait until after the summer to reach back out to them?
Obviously being very sparse on details for privacy reasons.

Also a 2L, so I don't think my opinion counts for much since I know nothing about a firm's perspective. But I don't see a negative to reaching out to the firm you rejected and asking if there's still a position for you. If there isn't, then reach out after the summer. If there is, then it's weighing if you want to burn the bridge with the firm you accepted.
