lateral associate - received an offer to join Latham. I submitted my conflicts information almost a month ago and conflicts keeps telling me no issues but they are just really busy so clearance review is taking longer than expected. Anyone else in same boat? I've heard conflicts only takes 2 weeks I'm getting slightly worried notwithstanding what the conflicts folks have told me. Thanks!

and more intense than most other firms. You're fine. Especially if they haven't asked any follow ups.

I’m in the same boat. It’s been 5 weeks for me. The waiting is killing me!

It took me 8 weeks to clear at Latham. Come back when you’ve hit the two month mark!

I'm at the 1 month mark for my Latham conflicts clearance. OP how long did it end up taking for you?

my experience is if there is a big conflict your new firm will require that you get a conflict waiver from your current firm (including the client at current firm). i had no issue getting the waiver though it did take some time

Latham conflicts for laterals is slow. Worse now that that we are hiring like mad. Heard its currently running 8-10 weeks average. Not ideal, but if you haven't had any negative news I would not be worried.

How long did it end up taking you all to clear conflicts?
