Tactfully asking about early employment?

Question for the hivemind: I'm a 2L going into a SA position at a mid-size regional firm. My spouse and I are relocating for the summer, and she secured her dream job; so, to not spend a semester apart, I arranged my units to complete the fall semester remotely and graduate December 2021. I plan on taking the February 2022 bar in my state.
Obviously it's early now to talk about an offer. But, assuming I get an offer, is it appropriate to ask about starting early at the firm? If so, when is that question best raised, and what's a tactful way to phrase it without sounding presumptuous? I have something in mind, but I'd really appreciate advice from those with actual experience in firms.
Thanks so much!
