I understand. I was a bit confused by OP's characterization of Syracuse law as a TT/TTT school. (I had to research prior posts by OP.)
Regardless, OP is deserving of a scholarship due to top 5% & demonstrated interest in tax law.

I don’t doubt op is deserving, I was simply adding that in my experience scholarships for LLM programs are common. I see a lot of time people saying they are hard to get, but generally speaking those attending received some $.CanadianWolf wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:22 pmI understand. By "common" are you suggesting that over 50% of a class receives a scholarship ?

I haven’t attended a program, but I did apply to the main four programs and I received scholarships for all 4.CanadianWolf wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 3:45 amDoes your experience include Georgetown & NYU tax llm programs ?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:10 pmI don’t doubt op is deserving, I was simply adding that in my experience scholarships for LLM programs are common. All of my classmates who applied all received some $. Based on that, I thought everyone receives some $, but I could be wrong.
Are scholarships not common in your experience?

at NYU/GULC they are not common. Maybe 10-12 people out of 115 get them.

Re: Is Tax LLM from NYU with $ Worth it?
I cannot state whether or not scholarships are common at NYU & Georgetown as I know several with scholarship awards & many who did not receive scholarship money.
Scholarship offers seem much more common at the University of Florida.
Northwestern has only about 38 to 40 full time students. The few that I know have received scholarship awards.
Unfamiliar with BU & Villanova.
Univ. of San Diego offers scholarships & Loyola Marymount (Los Angeles) has a full scholarship but not sure of number or amount of other awards.
In short, I do not know enough details to comment with any authority about number of scholarships offered at any tax llm program.

I'm definitely not an expert or anything, but I have talked with 10-15 prospective students at NYU who have all received some form of scholarship. Most stats are top 10-20% of class at a tier 1/2 school. Maybe they are being more giving with scholarships this years since last year's class was smaller. I could have also just happened to talk with the only 10-15 students receiving aid. Additionally, perhaps they are receiving more qualified applications. Not really sure, but thought I would just provide my insight.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 9:58 pmat NYU/GULC they are not common. Maybe 10-12 people out of 115 get them.
