Can anyone share insights /comparisons of the differences between the following firms: Manatt, Mitchell Silberberg, Loeb & Loeb? The similarities of these firms being that they are LA-based, have strong entertainment practices, and pay biglaw salaries while being smaller than the average biglaw firm.

Loeb pays the most out of all of them, starting at 190,000. Even then, it's not on the Milbank/Cravath scale. Manatt pays slightly below market, and it's worth noting that Manatt has a black box comp system. MS starts at 160,000. So, not entirely biglaw pay.

Thanks for that! Not sure if you know anything beyond the pay scales, but if you do, I'd love to hear about the general cultures of the firms, QoL, industry rep, etc.

Manatt anon in this thread said "the comp is fine in light of the non-crazy hours IMO. happy with my choice." Some other info on comp/culture/hours here also
