Top Law Schools

Was inspired by another post: could anyone provide any info on the LA offices of Gibson, Latham, and Skadden? Currently at a NY V5ish firm and considering making a lateral move to LA. Generic corporate midlevel. Spoke with some LA colleagues and they tended to mention these three firms (a couple also mentioned OMM, PH, etc.).

1. Any of these offices I should avoid outright? If so, why?
2. I figured these three are the largest corporate players in LA but please correct me if I am wrong and should consider others (or not consider any of these).
3. Any comparisons for work life balance at these offices compared to, say, STB NY?

Have you searched for earlier threads comparing these LA offices? There's a lot of information about them on the boards.

OP here. I haven't done a super deep dive, but I've definitely been following all LA-related threads for the past few months when I started considering my move to LA. I've seen a lot of generic and/or contradictory info which I guess can't be helped in any thread. But yes, I'm at least moderately aware of what's been posted in the past 3-4 months, maybe a bit before that.
