My Chance at Patent Law Firm (either Boutique or Big/Mid Law is fine)

Hi! I have multiple degrees, and wanna find jobs at a Patent law firm.
I just graduated from a MS in Computer Science with a good grade 3.8+, before that, I had a BS in Bio/Chem with a 3.3+, and a JD Law degree with 2.8+ (Yes, I am worried about the 2.8+ Law School GPA). What are my chances now for Patent Boutique Law or Big/Mid Sized law firm -Patent Group? I had a state bar but not have patent bar yet, but did not practice, since I went to MS degree right after law school. Now I have a few software engineer offer at hand, but I still want to find jobs in patent law fields. Do I have good chances now?

Thanks for your advice or suggestions.

In general, you should be alright, but IP firm criteria vary. There are a couple boutique that say they really only care about your science background/grades. But surely, the better the law gpa, the better chance a patent boutique will be more adament to recruit yoy. Especially with CS, a 2.8 shouldnt kill your chances (speaking mainly to patent pros). The law gpa may be a hindrance when it comes to IP lit and/or biglaw. Apply broadly (eg loyola patent fair), try to improve the law gpa, have a strong narrative on why IP law and why a particular region. One thing that may catch eyes is to take and pass the patent bar, since it shows commitment. Also, being personable goes a long way. Good luck!
