I have received offers for my 2L summer from both Locke Lord (for their IP pharma group) and Brinks, Gilson & Lione. Both offers are for their Chicago offices. Any advice or insight into these two firms would be very much appreciated. I am interested in patent litigation, specifically hatch-waxman.

Not sure about the comparison, but I have some insight into Brink's salary.
First, there is a base salary (obviously). And then once you hit a certain amount of hours (I don't remember if it is the required or a bit above), you are paid a certain percentage on what you bill (something significant like 20/30 %).
This can be very beneficial. A friend of mine hit his hours with about 3 months left. Instead of taking it easy, he continued working because he was racking up a huge bonus at the end of the year. This is just one bit of info on Brinks. The system is transparent instead of a discretionary bonus system.
